Postcards: Wildering Without Limit

“Wildering” – an old word indicating wandering and exploring in wild or uncharted spaces.

The page is a collection of photographic reports from adventures in this life without limit. Many will be from the wilderness as seen while backpacking, climbing, mountaineering, canoeing, and other exploration activities. The “postcards” will include a few words on the location, context, or perhaps lessons gained by being there.

I hope you enjoy them and can gain inspiration from them! Blessings!

Today’s collection of “postcards” are from a recent trip with friends into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in October, 2025. Five people, five days, two canoes, and one great time together. Co-workers in suicide prevention and friends, we parted company at the end with conversations about the next trip! Images via participants.

Pics from a trip to the Beartooth High Lakes Route on the Wyoming- Montana border. Took a group of high school guys out on their first backpack adventure. Cool beans!

Halloween trip into the Itasca State Park back county with a dad and two you boys. We had a wolf visit us just as we got into the tents. The boys were asleep but the dad and I laid quietly listening to the wolf as it sniffed at the base of both tents, inches from our heads. What a night!
