About This One Pursuit

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13

One Pursuit is about pursuing the only passion that resonates with our true self – the pursuit of our God.  There is no other pursuit that will bring life to us as will knowing, loving, and having an intimate relationship with the God of the universe.  This is the pursuit of our highest purpose.  This is the only path to our best life, the life for which all humanity was created and for which all humanity is offered redemption.  Only this pursuit will satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts, and can finally bring fullness and completion to us as individuals.

This is not about being “religious.” It is not about the institutional church as it is normally found in so much of the world.  The institutional church, especially here in North America, wandered away from this one pursuit centuries ago, substituting human religiosity for a life-giving intimacy with our God.  While there are true seekers living this best life – the Christ life – in the institutional church, the man-made religion itself has missed it completely.

This one pursuit is about experiencing the perfect love and intimate fellowship our God offers to us all. It is experiencing life as it is meant to be.  It is about a true union with God Himself, a transformational indwelling by His Holy Spirit that fills all our being to overflowing fullness.

“To have found God and still to pursue Him is the soul’s paradox of love.” – A.W. Tozer

The pursuit of God – the one pursuit worthy of our full attention – is a both the journey and the destination.  It is a sojourn in a wilderness that is at once beautiful and challenging, comforting and dangerous (hence the wilderness pictures on this site). It is the one adventure that will top all other adventures, the one with which your heart will resonate.

The message to the visitors to this website is this: Seek Him while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near to you, seeking you every day.  Make the pursuit of this intimate union with Him the one controlling passion, the one pursuit of your life.
