But God….

The post “In the Beginning….” dated September 29,2024, which you can read here, ended with these words: “Human life is now without hope because our divine operating system, the indwelling life of our God, is not present in us. We are not equipped to live successfully without that life in us. History has proven that critical lack repeatedly. Hopelessness is now the lot of all humanity without some kind of divine intervention. But God….”

All of us once lived among them in the passions of our flesh, doing the will of flesh and senses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like everyone else… But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” From the Apostle Paul’s letter to disciples of Jesus Christ living in Ephesus, Ephesians 2:3-7.

When all was seemingly lost in our relationship with our God, when there seemed to be no way for us to ever regain the divine life of our God in us, few if any could imagine how we would ever regain the divine life of God in us. It seemed hopeless.

But God had not yet revealed His elegant solution to our dilemma. No one knew that He was planning to not only restore the divine life to us, but to improve on it as well. Even the angels themselves only saw this future redemption as a mystery.

But God had in mind a way to make us partakers of His divine nature, and to experience a life in union with Himself now, in this life. This amazing, eternal and limitless life would be available to His redeemed children immediately and for eternity.

But God intended to invade humanity in the form of Christ Jesus, the Creator intended to become the created being. The eternal, undying God became mortal, subject to death. The illimitable God of Glory strictly limited Himself to live as one marginally housed, dependent upon those around Him. The God, perfect in every respect and above all reproach would take on the sin of the entire world and bear it all unto death.

Real, human, end of all living death. The eternal God submitted Himself to experiencing death. He did so for those who had rebelled and continued to rebel against Him.

But God clearly loves to the point of final sacrifice. He clearly desired to pay the impossible penalty to restore us to union with Himself, to make us partakers of His very life.

Our God raised Jesus His Son and the creator of everything, from the dead.  It is this resurrection life of Christ that is now offered to those who are reborn from above by the imparting of the Holy Spirit of Christ into them.

Now, we need not settle for a life of religious duties to try to please God. Now, we can be filled to all the fullness of God by the “God in Christ in us” life.

Read how the Bible describes this resurrection life, this “God in Christ in us” life:

“But anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.”

“I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

As Jesus describes this life in a prayer to His Father. “The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
